What kinds of people do you work with?
We work with all sorts of people. Much of our work is with young people getting into trouble to help them step away from crime. We also work with people in prison and ex-offenders, helping them to gain qualifications, skills and employment, and to access services.
Working with people at risk of offending means that, in deprived areas, we may set up activities that are open to all young people, to make sure that clear alternatives to offending or antisocial behaviour are available in the community.
Working with prisoners, ex-prisoners and ex-offenders means we run services in prison, in the community and provide national advice services, like our Resettlement Plus Helpline and Resettlement Service Finder.
We have staff with specialist experience in supporting people facing particular challenges, such as young parents, people with mental health problems or learning disabilities, and other high-risk groups.
Whoever we work with, we treat each person as an individual. These means offering them the services they need from the many services we offer. And, following the same principles of respect, ensuring equality and promoting diversity.
