absolute must for commissioners, planners and providers responsible for developing
effective mental health services. It’s also an unmissable event for
practitioners, service users and carers who wish to influence the future of
mental health provision along the criminal justice pathway. The conference
provides an opportunity to consider the recommendations of the Bradley Review
and the implications of the forthcoming Offender Health and Social Care
Strategy. Complemented by a wide range of workshops, the conference provides
an opportunity to examine key issues at a challenging time of change and
development. Ensuring effective and appropriate outcomes for offenders with
mental health needs can impact significantly on both reoffending and reducing
social exclusion. This requires accessing mainstream services and developing
innovative and imaginative responses. The conference will provide examples of
practical initiatives and set out a policy and strategic framework. Plenary speakers this year include Janey Antoniou Freelance
